Hello! Today our YouTube channel published a video about how artificial intelligence works inside Google. Specifically, we looked at how AI processes and analyses the photos we upload to a business profile on Google Maps.
I have said many times that the photos we upload to the map matter for more than just showing something to people. These photos are analysed by artificial intelligence. It reads the text in them, recognises objects and decides on that basis whether a photo is relevant.
The more photos that genuinely match the place (they show the place, the signs match it, and what is pictured is associated with it), the higher your business profile ranks. The more often people find it.
How often you upload photos matters too, as does how much you work with your profile’s photos at all. For example, do not forget to delete old or poor-quality photos that drag the bar down or could do so.
